Full-Body Motion Capture-Based Virtual Reality Multi-Remote Collaboration System

Various realistic collaboration technologies have emerged in the context of COVID-19 pandemic. However, as existing virtual reality (VR) systems generally employ an inverse kinematic method using a head-mounted display and controller, user character cannot be accurately matched. Accordingly, immersion level VR experience is low. In this study, we propose remote system that uses motion capture to improve immersion. The which wearing equipment performs same operations user. Nevertheless, error can occur environment when sizes actual are different. To reduce error, technique for synchronizing size according user’s body was implemented tested. experimental results show between heights test subject 0.465 cm on average. verify implementation motion-capture-based possible, confirm three motion-capture users collaborate remotely photon server.
